This place is awesome. Across the other popular locations in Boabal park and away from the crowds, the Desert Garden was pretty empty when we were there. The nice walk within the garden leads you through many magnificent giant cacti collections. It’s great to have a little stroll to enjoy the beauty or those giant cacti. Parking is free. You can street park or park in the parking area within Boabal park. There is a crossing bridge for pedestrians so you could cross the street from there. Wear sunscreen, bring a hat and some water and you will enjoy it here.

Definitely worth to visit if you wish to see typical local green. If you will be careful enough you’ll see some lizards and squirrels.

This is a pretty neat desert garden especially if you are into dry climate fauna. It is also the entrance to hiking trail if you walk further down. Sad to see some cacti have been damaged by vandals with carvings. It is next to the rose garden so if you come here you can visit there too.
