THE GAMES:

"The Speakeasy" - It's the roaring twenties! People are driving cars, talking on telephones, and going to the movies. But unfortunately, it's also Prohibition and most of those people would trade all of that "progress" for a beer. In fact, the only place to get a drink is at a mob-run Speakeasy. When you go for a taste of the forbidden sauce, things get a bit rowdy and the bartender locks you in so the boss can sort out the mess. You overhear that the boss will be back in an hour. While the night may have started out as the "bee's knees", it will be your knees if you can't escape!

"The Diner" - After a wild night at a mob bar a few decades ago, you took up with the wrong crowd and now you find yourself about to rob the local diner. This isn't your first gig and you're hoping it won't be your last. The boys didn't give much detail, but said the prep work is all set; just be in and out in less than an hour. If you can pull it off, you'll be in the "Money Honey". On the other hand, if you mess this one up, you'll be writing your own version of "Jailhouse Rock", ya dig?

  • I was in California for a business trip and we needed something kind of impromptu for team building. Quicksand came through! Employee was super friendly and the owner Greg hooked us up with a sweet package and even made some recommendations on restaurants nearby. Everyone was super friendly and the team had a blast! From what I understand even more puzzles are coming soon. I can't wait! Have to come back in the Spring for more trainings and I plan on bringing the team back. Great experience all around!
  • We played The Family Cabin. 2 expert puzzlers and 2 relative newbies. We escaped with 18 min to spare. It was a really well designed room. Lots of aha moments, cool tech. everything was clued pretty well and was straightforward to solve. A really great room to take my parents to and show them a great puzzle room experience!
  • This was our families first ever escape room experience. Jakob was our game master tonight he explained all of the rules very clearly and gave us good hints when we needed them. We did the Speakeasy room and managed to escape a few minutes after the hour time limit expired. Honestly this was such an amazing experience we can not wait to come back and try another room out.
  • We ended up going back and doing all 4 rooms here over a couple days. These rooms are very fun, but be prepared for a challenge. Chinatown and The Diner are the closest we've ever come to not making it out in time. Very fun and creative rooms. I'll definitely go back if they open more rooms.
  • We did two of the four rooms at Quicksand (so far!) and can say it has some of the most satisfying puzzles we’ve solved. The puzzles used real objects and you weren’t constantly bombarded by tech. The tech was there but used properly, not over-the-top like other rooms we’ve visited. Highly recommend!
