If you want to get a bird's-eye view of the beauty that San Diego has to offer, then you can't do any better! The slow air speed of the powered glider is perfect for soaking up all the sights and since the wing is above the aircraft you get an unrestricted view of the world beneath you. We saw surfers enjoying the morning waves, and seals, dolphins, and even a whale enjoying their morning meals. Warren is the friendliest guy that you will ever meet and he will go out of his way to make sure your time with him is enjoyable. I was in San Diego for a short time, and Warren did his best to get me in the air with very little notice. We flew at first light on a very, chilly morning and he made sure that I was very well insulated to deal with the cool temps and the constant wind that comes with flying in the open air. He was very knowledgeable about the landmarks that you will see in the air, and will let you know right away if he spots any sea life in the water (he circled the whale that he had spotted on our trip to make sure that I had a good view of it). I did an 1 hour flight, and even that seemed too short. To say the flight was worth it would be a gross understatement. Warren let me handle the controls of bit and that was a great thrill. The pictures and videos that he takes in-flight are spectacular too. Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport is a short ride or drive from downtown. If you are in town for vacation, work, or even a longtime resident of San Diego, I highly recommend San Diego Air Adventures. Happy flying!

If you're looking to see San Diego in all it's glory, there is nothing compared to a bird's eye view. It was an exciting experience being 5000 feet in the air on an engine powered glider. It was a fun and safe experience. The instructor, Warren, is amazing, experienced, and capable. He is a FAA certified flight instructor, so you're in safe hands. Even though you're in a glider, the ride, as invigorating as it is, feels alright. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone wanting to discover San Diego in a new and exhilarating way!

I surprised my husband for his birthday with a flight at San Diego Air Adventures. We both took 30 minute flights and it was absolutely incredible! Warren is so knowledgeable, his customer service was second to none, and he helped make the experience unforgettable. When I was researching hang gliding options I was first looking at a different company located in Torrey Pines. But after reading their reviews, it seemed the flights were inconsistent and quite a few complaints about the customer service and waiting all day only to be told there would be no flights that day. Also the cost was higher for a much shorter flight. At San Diego Air Adventures, you make a reservation ahead of time, things happen on time, and the flight is consistent. I would definitely say you get more than what you pay for. I am SO happy I decided to go with San Diego Air Adventures. The hang glider is powered which makes the flight smooth and you can stay in the air longer. We flew over the coast, saw dolphins and whales, and even learned how to fly. Worth every penny and can't wait to go for another lesson. Next time I think I would opt for the longer flights because it was so much fun. I also fell more in love with San Diego seeing it from above in this way. It's thrilling, peaceful, and beautiful. 5 stars all day.

There are no words to describe how cool flying was!!! Like... life changing. I did this for my birthday, material presents are so boring and lame, this was memorable and epic. I would go over and over again!! I seriously can't wait for my next opportunity. Warren is awesome, he's knowledgeable and made me feel really comfortable going up in the air. We saw a humpback whale which was spectacular, and tons of dolphins. This was just... amazing.

I had an amazing time flying around San Diego with Warren. He is a great instructor and makes you feel very comfortable. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything about the aircraft and important procedures prior to taking off. The views are incredible as you fly along the coast...you'll see Pacific Beach, La Jolla Cove, Black's Beach, Torrey Pines, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Encinitas, etc. Warren will even let you take control of the plane if you're comfortable doing so. I would recommend going at sunrise or sunset. I went during sunrise so it was a peaceful flight as SD was waking up. I highly recommend getting the GoPro package with film and photos. It's great to look back on to see how amazing the experience was. Thank you Warren for the wonderful experience!!
