  • They NEVER answer the phone. I tried calling for 5 days, left 3 messages, just wanted to know if we could dance at an upcoming show... no response. No one ever answered the phone or called back...

  • I visited the Asian Art Museum for the first time today and it was a wonderful experience. The museum has four (4) levels, three (3) of which are open to the public. The museum is located directly across from city hall and adjacent to the main public library. One thing that San Francisco does extremely well is its museums. One thing I really appreciate about this museum is its dedication to honoring the rich history and legacies of the Asian diaspora. There are unique pieces from all over APIDA (East Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander) populations is truly a sight to behold. This is a great place for families and I highly encourage everyone to visit if you’re able.
  • On the first Sunday of the month, tickets are free for San Francisco residents. a lot of sections of different Asian countries are very informative and interesting, most of the exhibits are from China. The mother-in-law museum looks big, but inside there are few halls where you can enjoy history. we went through all the halls with exhibits in 1.5 hours. they also put up a table with souvenirs at $ 1 dollar at the store, we bought 10 openly for $ 1
  • Great place to visit in San Francisco. The visit is free with Go San Francisco Pass. There were many amazing collections from different Asian countries. Each piece of art is a story to be told. It makes you understand and appreciate the Asian culture. It has many traditional elements such as woodblock prints. The building interiors are beautiful especially the stairs.
  • I generally love museums. This one is a collection of very old-- and some recent-- beautiful cultural objects and art that hold symbolic meaning for the peoples it originally belonged to. I loved the golden Buddhist sculptures. Definitely worth a very long visit!
  • The art museum is filled with cultural and dynastic pieces that capture your eye. We enjoyed a docent-led tour on the Contemporary galleries which featured some amazing Asian trailblazing artists. I highly recommend a visit. Give yourself a couple hours to be able to touch on highlights. There is a nice gift shop and cafe here.
