Saranac Laboratory Museum, Saranac Lake

This was such a cool museum! I loved to see what the room looked like in the past and while I’m standing there current day. I also felt like I stood and read the cards people posted about their TB stories downstairs for like 30 minutes. It was so intriguing to see other peoples stories.

We stumbled upon the museum while passing through town. We learned alot! Aside from the scientific aspects, we took the time to read the personal stories of those who were treated there, and how their lives shaped the town, along with their contributions to the arts, science, and even living in the wilderness. This is a perfect place to gain some insight, especially during the midst of our current crisis. Highly recommend.

The laboratory museum was very interesting and informative. There was a lot to look at and read and think about. It was an hour well spent, and informed a lot of our family's conversations for the rest of the afternoon as we walked and drove through the village of Saranac Lake, looking at the cute shops and old buildings.

Very interesting and informative. Well worth the time to stop. Interesting part of our medical history considering we are in the middle of covid.

Very interesting museum on the site of Dr. Trudeau's lab. Here is where tuberculosis was first studied and patients were treated, including some very famous names. It's fun to walk through the very rooms, where some of the original equipment remains on display.
