St. Regis Canoe Outfitters, Saranac Lake

I want to shout out the young woman behind the counter and Stephen for delivering excellent service from start to finish. They were passionate, informative and very kind. We paid for the full day excursion but were cut short due to pick up times. Unfortunately we were unaware of a specific pick up time as Dan told us that all we have to do is call and they'd drive up and meet us at the pull off spot marked on the map. When we called at the halfway point to let the staff know of our approximated time of completion, Dan made it clear that our trip was over and he'd send someone to pick us up immediately. Truly poor customer service and we all believe that if the young lady or Stephen had answered, it would have been a different conversation and possibly different pick up spot. It's a nice time but less Dan and more Stephen and the young woman would be ideal. If we had just interacted with those two, 5 stars. Lastly, I recommend the hike to moose pond - very pretty!

We recently used St Regis Outfitters for our first multi-day canoe outing. They helped us plan the perfect trip and rented us top notch gear. Lindsey sent us off well prepared and Amelia provided great service upon our return and during the planning process. We've also used SRO in the past for shuttle and car transport in addition to trip planning. Highly recommended.

We wanted to paddle around Saranac Lake and found St. Regis via Google. The staff were incredibly helpful, with great trip suggestions. They recommended the Raquette River, which was fun and pretty easy. I was worried about putting a canoe on our '01 Accord. But the staff, again, were helpful and reassuring. It was easy for us to put the canoe back on our car for the return trip. Also, the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend!

Well stocked paddling and camping outfitter. Rentals of all equipment. Map central. They also have a location in the St. Regis Canoe Wilderness since forever.
