Oval Beach, Saugatuck

Beautiful beach! It was a little "hike" to get down to it due to coming down and going up in sand but it wasn't terrible. The water was clear, relatively calm, and inviting (but cold!). Found lots of rocks in the area. Bathroom facilities close by

My Favorite place to relax! Oval Beach is my go to summer destination! Pay an annual fee pay per visit for just 10 dollars! Near to home and always so clean! Even on busy days with lots of people, it's still enjoyable, not too crowded or overwhelming. Hang out on the beach and splash in the water, or take a walk through the beautiful dunes! Take a hike up Mount Baldhead -- if you dare! There are some swings available near the beach in front of restrooms. And while we're in the area, restrooms close at 730 pm so be aware as the time nears. People always are very friendly here! Look out for the guy with the pet duck! They are awesome if you seem them stop em and say hi! Maybe pet the ducky aha! Seriously though, I love this place, lots and lots of beach, sand, and dunes to explore. No Lifegaurd Please stay for at least one sunset this year, you will be glad you did, they are so stunning! Plenty of parking, handicap accessible. Great for all ages.

Fabulous spot even in the Autumn. Super fine sand, which squeaks as you walk. Can imagine it would be heaving in the summer. Quite steep into the Lake. Apparently there can be dangerous currents too. Waves get surprisingly high when the wind gets up. Good parking.

Nice beach on Lake Michigan. Nice place to watch the sunset. Not super busy either. Only downside was that the bathrooms closed at 7pm. Looked like near the bathhouse was concessions and a swing set overlooking the water.

Didn't realize that we were so close to such a nice beach! Be careful, the road to this beach is windy and wildlife may be just around the corner. The beach appears to be a great place to watch the sun set as long as there isn't clouds!
