  • First time came to the observation deck, I think it is best spot to view the golden bridge, even was cloudy day we still able to get quiet a few very good shots of bridge, I can’t imagine how great views would be in sunny days. It’s very easy-accessible, you can drive and bike to there with short walk to the top, very windy at the top, bright a jacket and watch your hat is great idea. At almost 500 feet above the bay, this high cliff-top vantage point was a prime location for big coastal defense guns when the army was there.
  • If you wanna take a picture (or more!) with one of the best angles of the Golden Gate Bridge then this is the place for you! I certainly feel like this is best spot to do it as the entire span of the bridge is visible. It can be easily accessible with a car as there are parking areas all around or if you don’t have a car, you can walk from the H. Dana Bowers Rest area/Vista Point on the other side, go underneath the bridge through the little walkway and hike it up to this viewpoint. Believe me, the view’s priceless!
  • Probably one of my favorite views of the Golden Gate Bridge! You can see the bridge up close in all its glory with the beautiful city of San Francisco in the background. The area is also an old abandoned military base, and you can see some of the old barracks as well. It’s a gorgeous view at all times of the day, but is particularly pretty right before sunset.
  • This is the best spot to view Golden Gate Bridge. You get really beautiful shots of the bridge. It’s quite a drive from downtown San Francisco but worth a drive. You can walk really close to the bridge. Also apart from bridge, you also get other views.
  • Great view of the bridge! Parking was easy and the walk to the viewpoint was short. Beware of all the broken glass from beer bottles though. The fort is neat, but reeks of urine. Bathrooms are pretty gross, so plan to got before or after you get there!
