American Prohibition Museum, Savannah

We’re vacationing in Savannah and it has rained for the last two days, so we had to think of some indoor stuff to do. We were recommended The Prohibition Museum by a friend that is local to Savannah. It was very informative and interesting. The wax statues and props are very impressive. We didn’t do a guided tour, but listened in on part of the guided tour that was occurring as we walked through the museum, and the guide seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. The speakeasy was so neat and has a nice selection of drinks if you chose the 21+ option. Can’t remember the name of the drink I chose, but it was very good.

Awesome. A small place so it didn't take terribly long , but it was chocked full of great and fun information! The docent really seemed knowledgeable and the ticket was a fair price. It might have taken 2 hours to go through. You could definitely spend more time if you wanted to. So many exhibits and material to read.

Totally neat historical experience go with the speakeasy drink sit and enjoy. We did a self tour which was perfect for us but they offer a guided tour as well and if you have kids in your party they can enjoy a mock-tail too. We enjoyed it and the staff was awesome even dressed in creature.

Love a self-guided museum and the Prohibition Museum is a great one. Lots to learn about & presented in a fun manner. The speakeasy towards the end is great & cocktails are very tasty. I’d definitely recommend it as a good way to spend some time that’s a short drinking break as well.

This is a very nice and chill museum. It is fun to pop in to if you get the chance in Savannah, like it’s raining or something, but I wouldn’t plan to go here if you’re visiting, as there are a lot of other interesting things to do. It is quite a long museum to get through as there is a load of enticing information available. It is very ironic that there is a full fledged bar in the museum.
