For entertainment, shopping, and dining out in Savannah, the open-air City Market offers a variety of options. The four-block area of restored warehouses was redesigned as a mixed-use space in 1985. At its center, the market features the Art Center, a collection of working studios for artists. Three apartments and offices also occupy the space. Stroll the pedestrian street to explore the art on display, or grab dinner at one of the restaurants. • Typical city open air market meant for tourists. Restaurants, shops, art galleries etc. Go there once, that should suffice.

  • I think I expected something totally different. Like a market. There is a sign that says city market. And there are some places to eat, a museum, and some shops. But it’s not a market like in...

  • Savannah trip for you was real fun. The City Market is one of the buzzing places over the weekend (empty weekdays). There are pizza joints, ice-cream shops, restaurants etc. The underground and rooftop bars are the highlight. You can hop around from one to another. Each has a unique vibe and ambience.
  • A must place to visit in savannah. Place with lot of pubs, eateries and live music. McDonald's and Walgreen are also present in this location. There is also a souvenir shop and there are many souvenir available at affordable rates. This place was very crowded during our visit. A visit we will always remember for people with hospitality.
  • City Market is a fun little touristy spot with a wide selection of shops including places such as an exotic meat jerky store, some old time-y candy shops, a prohibition museum, several gift/souvenir shops, and a restaurant or two. Overall, a fun little stroll before or after walking along the river, but mostly just overpriced, inauthentic tourist merch. The candy and jerky shops are really what push up the stars on this review, the rest of the shops were really just a dime a dozen and can be found just about anywhere.
  • Pretty. Lots of stores with all kinds of niches. Public restrooms were out of order but other locations were accommodating. Not enough time in the day to see everything. It was wonderful.
  • nicely organized stores, restaurants with plenty of places to sit and relax. Many souvenir shops, along with prohibition museum(requires entrance fee) will occupy anyone for hours.
