  • This place is fantastic. They have an amazing collection of waterfowl from around the world. You can get up close to the birds. I recommend going on winter.

  • Great photo access to many birds was special. Walk in aviaries were well done. We were able to get real close to the birds.

  • We really enjoyed the park. Feeding the birds was especially fun. Parakeets came right to our hands. Flamingos ate from our hands as well. There was a wide variety of birds. We loved it!

  • LOVE visiting here! Have been at least three times now and also bought the family membership passes, which are also good at the NC Zoo! Every time I have been here they’ve had new birds and new exhibits opened. I have never seen such a variety of birds anywhere before in my life! No other zoo holds a candle to this place. You have a great view of every bird as well, which is awesome. It stinks when you can’t see animals at a zoo. There are multiple free flying houses you can walk through as well. The BEST part of this place is the canary house! There are hundreds of colorful birds that all fly right up on you and eat your birdseed sticks. SUPER COOL! Love this place! PLAN A VISIT!
  • My daughter and I took my grandson. We spent about three hours there and had a wonderful time. My grandson who is 2 really enjoyed seeing all of the birds and he loved the playground. They had a really nice area for picnicking under the trees where you can sit and watch the kids play on the playground. There was a birdhouse that allowed you to interact with the birds and feed them. The birds fly right on up to you and eat the seeds off a little sticks you can purchase. They had beautiful gardens and the habitats were well-maintained and very nice beautiful habitats for the animals
  • This is a wonderful place. It is very well maintained and the birds are well cared for. There is plenty of space for having picnics. I have seen reports that it takes about an hour to go around; to really see and enjoy it out takes a lot longer than that.
  • Wooooonderful place for a date. It was very hot, but there's a lot of natural shade and tons of places to sit and catch your breath. Fantastic layout to the whole park, and there are so many beautiful and interesting birds!! Our favorite moment was in the Landing Zone, where birds land on you and play with your shoes! :)
  • An excellent place, close enough to Raleigh for a day trip. A lot of variety of birds and up close opportunities. We weren't able to use it (as the dining was closed the day we went) but a playground and food would create a great break: go through all the exhibits in the AM, grab lunch and let kids play on the playground, and then go back to your favorite before heading home.
