This hike is only about a mile round-trip, but the views are spectacular! The length is perfect to do with smaller legs, but I would be nervous taking super young children on this hike on their own...

Easy trail to the upper waterfall. Nice cold water and you can jump off the waterfalls.Lower falls has a sketchy trail down, but is worth it with a nice swimming hole.

This place is a gem if you're lucky enough to visit when not crowded with people, which is still actually possible! The trail is short and easy, although it does drop fairly steeply for a short distance. But the total loop is barely over 1 mile, which encompasses two different waterfalls. The most picturesque in most people's opinion is Upper Butte Creek Falls, which is the destination when following the trail to the right. One can walk behind the falls inside a large cavern. Back tracking the trail and to the left is Butte Creek Falls - the taller and narrower of the two. The trail takes you to a rocky overlook above the falls. The brave could scramble down for a closer look if they so choose. There is a nice smaller campground just up the road for those who want to make a night of it. Important note: Many directions will take you on an older route which travels southeast on Crooked Finger Road NE. Do not take this route as the access road has been closed due to vandalism on the private property it passes. There is another route that comes in from the northeast on the other side of the site - this is the one to take. I suggest doing a search first as routes tend to change over time.

This is a nice, short and fairly easy hike. There are bathrooms at the parking spots near the trailhead. Can he muddy at times but nothing to really worry about. The Google maps directions are accurate so nothing to worry about there. Cell phone reception is spotty so download offline maps or write down directions.

We loved the hike. It’s rated as easy. It’s not a hard hike by any means, but there are some steep parts and a lot of tree roots/rocks on the path. I wouldn’t take my dad who doesn’t have great balance on this hike.

My favorite hike yet. Two stunningly beautiful waterfalls on the same trail just past the road to Abiqua Falls. Although the distance is much further than stated on Google Maps. Because it's owned by warehouser now and the gates are closed so that real hike is closer to 3.25 mi in but well worth it! Once you get to the trailhead you're hiking and you could turn left to go to the taller waterfall and right to go to the shorter but wider waterfall. The trail to the left is a little more treacherous. The one on the right is very enjoyable. People with knee problems should be careful going to the trail on the left. NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN DUE TO THE STEEP TERRAIN, THE DISTANCE AND VERY ROCKY GOING TO THE LEFT FALL. I personally wouldn't take children under the age of 10 years old.
