Create an itinerary including Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park
Learn about one of the last great prospecting adventures at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. The Cadillac Hotel is your first stop on the trail. This site was once the initial supply point for prospectors headed to the Yukon. Explore the temporary exhibits and pick up a map of the original Chilkoot Trail that settlers used to reach the wild lands where they hoped to strike it rich. This is the only international historical park shared by Canada and the United States, as the park extends up to Alaska. The park includes historical settler towns and Dawson City. A visit to Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Seattle trip maker site to plot your vacation.

  • I am a history buff, so i try and stop whenever I can and enjoy a bit of history. I loved the history presented here and think anyone truly interested in history or the gold rush would enjoy this...

  • Free admission with a public bathroom. Parking StreetSide was possible for a quick tour. Small store inside too. Silly how they have the middle sink blocked off to force 6feet separation, but the doorway to come and go in/out of the bathroom is about 4 feet wide. The museum was clean and informative
  • Visited - Jan 23,2022 Sunday 11 AM - no entry fee, no crowds. This is a fantastic set of exhibits describing the struggles of the stampeders and the boom around the Klondike Gold Rush leading to a boom in Seattle. I would absolutely recommend a visit when in Seattle! Thoroughly engrossing and detailed explanations of the lives of different characters and more.
  • Free and full of cool stories and pictures of life back during the gold rush. I like how it’s a walkthrough museum, so when you go through the exhibits it plays out in a storyline fashion where you “travel along” in the journey from Seattle to Dawson City. Read about a lot of interesting characters and what conditions were like back then.
  • 2 parts to this experience! Start with the tour guide who walks you around the city to show you landmarks and share the fun facts not listed on the informational signs (about 45 min). Other part is a self guided tour inside the museum. Donations accepted.
  • This isn't just a great National Historic Site, it's a great museum. The best museums get you excited about a topic you had little or no prior interest in, and this location does that and more. The multiple level site is engaging, interactive, and full of knowledge jumping off the exhibits at you. Parking might be difficult, but I'd happily visit again on my next Seattle visit!
