  • Seney National Wildlife Refuge is one of those places that will remain in your memory for years to come. The drive in through main entrance alone - with its tree-lined road - is a preview of what's to come. Man-made pools provide a respite for migratory birds and create picturesque waterscapes for visitors. During my visit, cirrus clouds moved slowly across the sky, adding an atmospheric look to the nature-filled landscape. A myriad of dragonflies kept me company on my trek along the Pine Ridge Nature Trail - which led me along pools and through other habitats. Take your time when walking around as there is much to see and experience, plus a number of areas/entrances to visit. A helpful volunteer at the (temporary) Visitor Center showed me what areas were open (during construction) and where to park.
  • The refuge is so scenic and tranquil, there's so much wildlife to see, if you go there early in the morning. They have a bus tour, but we are never on time and always miss it. The staff here are very friendly and answer any questions you have. There is a spotting scope inside the visitor center which points directly towards treetop eagle nest in the refuge, which is really awesome. We always get to see mama eagle with its fledglings every time we visit this refuge. There is no entrance fee, but still they take excellent care of the refuge for all of us to enjoy and see. They have a donation box in there, if you can please donate!
  • Can't wait to see the new visitor center. The lady who helped us was so friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely made our visit memorable. Will be back when they finish the new center, can't wait!
  • This place is great! We were not up for walking, but they have a 7 mile auto tour. We say, Osprey Loon C. Goose Kingfisher Otter Monarchs Wood duck And more in just under an hour. Friendly staff. The close for the season Aug 28 this year (2021).
  • One of the friendliest question and answer experiences we've had in a very long time. The trails by the center are great and the walk at the old site is breath taking.
