  • Shell Falls is one of the most spectacular falls I have seen. We were not aware of it and were beyond pleasantly surprised when we came to it. A must see in the Bighorns.

  • We stopped at the falls on our way to Sheridan. Absolutely amazing views and well worth the time. Short walk from the parking lot. Even had a little show during our mid-June visit.

  • Beautiful stop! The drive through Bighorn National Forest is beautiful, but make sure you have good brakes and allow time to drive carefully through the canyon. Shell Falls has very easy walkways and is not far from the parking lot.
  • If you didn't know about this place, you may just drive by. But it's worth a stop. Paved, easy to access trail makes its way around a visitors center. Look out points are able to be accessed by those in a wheelchair or with other mobility issues.
  • I loved the scenic drive from Sheridan to this spot. Yes the switchbacks are crazy, and you can't go very fast, but there is just so much to see. The road has many overlooks and photo opportunities keeping every traveler safe. We went during an off time so things weren't open along the way or at the falls but I would definitely want to come back and visit in the summer.
  • It’s an approx. 40 minutes drive from Sibley lake campground. It's a beautiful scenic drive to shell falls. Though its scenic drive but has many curves and sharp turns so avoid speeding and enjoy the scenic drive. Shell falls has few overlook spots, you can spend some time listening the fall sound and admiring the nature beauty. Visitor center was closed. Restrooms are currently closed but temporary toilets are available. Visited during 13-14 June. Mobile coverage : No
  • Beautiful waterfall with a lovely garden. Visitors center was closed when I stopped in, but looked like a nice facility. Portable toilets outside, though.
