Deception Falls is a 94-foot (29 m) waterfall that flows from Deception Creek just over Stevens Pass, approximately 1856 feet above sea level, located in the U.S. state of Washington. Shortly downstream Deception Creek empties into Tye River. While flow may run dry in the late season, Deception Falls trail remains open in the Summer and Falls seasons. Deception Falls is located north of Interstate 90 in the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest. A hiking trail leads from a parking area to the falls.

  • Don't short yourself, Do the full walk around the ENTIRE trail. It is not that long, probably a mile or so at most but really nice.

  • This is a great stop and stretch your legs place. Short walk to the falls. We happen to be there when the water was flowing really high. Great picture opportunity and neat little place.

  • The Falls is between Skykomish and Steven's Pass on Route 2 which runs in the middle of Snoqualmie National Forest. From I-5 north we turned right on Route 2 and headed East. It's not the tallest...

  • Nicely shaded scenic trail with several spots to view and photograph the falls. The trail is well maintained with two options with obstacles or without. Super easy and short little hike.
  • Very well maintained recreation area with an easy trail leading to Deception Falls and multiple viewpoints across the river - including an older river bed. Super easy 0.6 mile kids-friendly trail directly accessible from the parking lot (left side of the road when you drive east).
  • Beautiful hike. Easy access off of highway 2. Public restrooms are available. Some of the picturesque views do require you to walk up or down some stairs, but easy walk. The falls are amazing to see and the trails are well maintained. Definitely a worth stop.
  • seems like short path off the HWY 2 but ends up being a good little hike that is suitable for little kids as young as 2. The trail follows the various water falls from the one under the highway lower with various viewing platforms. Bathrooms there as well. Loved all the interpretive signs along the way!
  • Kid friendly, super short hike, beautiful falls and as most reviewers mentioned cars can be parked roadside also when parking is closed. Has few picnic benches at the beginning of the trial. Small foot bridge over the falls stream makes it even more beautiful.
