The river is swollen and high on the banks, late in winter. A local told me it was close to flooding recently? From the bridge in Skykomish you can walk down onto the rivers edge. We found a lot.... more

A February day without rain and the snow gone. Quaint little town. Walkway along the river with nice views of the river. Fun place to walk with the dog to stretch my legs when headed over the pass.

If you want challenging fly or gear fishing, this is the river for you. It’s gorgeous and the water is so clear you can see all the fish. Great for floating in a boat. Perfect place for adventures.

This river winds through the scenic sky valley and is a great place for many activities such as fishing, white water rafting, photography, bird watching, swimming and many more. This river may look inviting when the days get hotter during the beginning of summer but take caution! Early in summer this river is very cold and the current can be dangerously swift. This combination proves deadly to multiple people every year.
