Create an itinerary including Natural Bridge State Resort Park
Named after the massive rock bridge that forms the centerpiece of the park, Natural Bridge State Resort Park presents a variety of hiking trails and stunning vistas. The park spans approximately 930 hectares (2,300 acres), over half of which have been designated as a nature preserve to protect the array of flora and fauna that live here. You can hike to the 20 m (65 ft) high sandstone arch or enjoy a ride on the sky lift, located just a short walk from the park entrance, that ends within 183 m (600 ft) of the bridge. The park's trails range from moderate to strenuous in difficulty, traversing uneven ground, but you're rewarded with unmatched scenery. The 0.8-km (0.5-mile) Original Trail leading to the natural bridge dates from the 1890s. Keep in mind that hiking off-trail is not permitted. • Gorgeous park! There are so many beautiful areas and it would be amazing at any time of the year. Theres no bland woods here; its all just the hits of a good hike. Smooth rock walls, great views, and the natural bridge that is unique to this location. You can go under and above the bridge, and over to another area that has a great view of the bridge. If hiking isn't for you, there is a chair lift that will take you to the top as you get to enjoy a beautiful view along the way.
  • Very beautiful park. Even on a Friday in Fall there were several families and people there. The park does a great job at giving people many options & opportunities to experience the park. There are many hiking trails, and several different features to hike too. Such as, the Bridge, Lovers Leap, Devils Gulch, Needle’s Eye, a small cave, several lookout points, and many others we didn’t get the chance to see. The gift shop at the park was closed, but the Hemlock Lodge has one to satisfy your needs. There are many campgrounds and cottages to stay at. As well as a sky-lift up to the bridge. Kentucky does a spectacular job keeping up with their parks, so be sure to take advantage of them.
  • Don't expect the Ritz Carlton, but this is a great resort. Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Short drive to several activities. GREAT scenery from your room balcony. Well marked trails, easy access & not leg killers. And the Natural Bridge is one of God's amazing creations. KY is beautiful...support the parks.
  • A great place to visit. The arch is awesome. Some good trails and good scenery. Really good exercise also. You can take the sky lift to the top in the warm months if you don't want to hike to the top. Part of the red River gorge. Whole area is cool to hike
  • Great hiking! We rode the ski lift all the way up and hiked the trails once we were up there. At one point we passed though a tight passageway that was about 3ft wide. You can see the other side from the end for any claustrophobic people, it's about 20 yards long. The overlook(trail to the left of the ski lift) had amazing views!! The rock formations left us in awe! Several trails that can be taken. You can either hike all the way up and down or ride the ski lift up and hike down or even ride the lift both ways. Pricing was $17 per person. If this review has helped, please like it!
