  • I recommend that before you go here, you read up on the history of Rockwood Hall (once a beautiful Rockefeller estate). Knowing the history, you have a better appreciation when you walk the grounds...

  • We had a visit to Sleepy Hollow and after a lunch and visits to the spooky sites, we took a bottle of wine and some cheese and bread to the park. It was a beautiful crisp afternoon to enjoy the park.

  • We've walked in the Rockefeller Park many times but recently discovered the Rockwood Hall portion of the park. It is outstanding. Great views of the Hudson. The trail is in good condition with some...

  • A nice park with wide trails. Mature and beautiful trees. Great views of the Hudson River.
  • We've been enjoying this wonderful park since the mid-80's. It just keeps getting nicer. Exceptional views. Lots of old growth trees, especially English, Copper and Weeping Beech.
  • This part of the Rockfeller State Parl is where the Rockfeller's had their estate house on the Hudson. The site and stone pathways where the mansion burnt down is still there with lovely grounds all around. The trails here are also a great option to get to know the place and see ample meadoes with deers, racoons and squirrels.
  • This park feels like a well maintained forest. Beautiful fields, good trails, you can go do to the creek and it feels completely wild. Sunset is breathtaking and there’re few benches to enjoy the view of the Hudson River during sunset. Saw few deers, lots of birds. A peaceful oasis.
  • Great place to visit. Great walking paths. Very easy for a light hike. People are being very careful about masks which is great during these times. A great place to have a picnic. The wild life is very interesting as well. Many kinds of birds and deer.
