Annmarie Garden, Solomons

I participated in the Artist-in-Action residency here and it was such a beautiful space! The inside has a lovely gallery upstairs, event space on the main floor and kids craft area. The gardens were bigger than I expected and included a lot of interesting sculptures. I appreciated all the native plants and birds.

What a wonderful garden art walk. We brought our 3 year old and she loved hopping, twirling and leaping along the path and looking out for special trees that had creative artistic additions. We came mid-week in January and had the place to ourselves, but I can imagine that weekends in the summer it might be a popular spot.

This place is a gem! Beautiful garden with terrific sculptures in the pine forest. Lady at the reception was fantastic and knowledgeable. 5 dollars donation at the entrance. There’s a temporary MLK exhibition in the gallery, we enjoyed it a lot. We’ll be back!

If you have kids, this is one of the best places to go in Calvert County. For about two years I've been part of an amazing homeschool co-op that meets here and rents AMG's classrooms for our classes two days a week, and we are so extra grateful for this place!! -- I promise I'm not just biased though! 😉 I've loved them for well over 2 years. I want to say, more like 15 years? The Garden in Lights holiday display is a showstopper every year. I couldn't begin to list all their other wonderful events, but you can celebrate most holidays with them, go to summer camp, take a class, or just visit any time of year, play, relax, make some art. Their wildlife display inside is so fun, the ever-changing, ever-growing art collection makes it such a wonderful atmosphere, and the Fairy Lolly is the most magical of all. 🧚‍♀️ Watching my kids play in nature and in this little imagination fueling village is just awesome. Our community is so blessed by AMG!

It was my first time here with friends and I loved it. The displays and lighting are perfect. They offered hot cocoa and treats in the shop area. Its so nice walking around with a hot cocoa to keep you warm. I'm going back again with my daughter. I'll be sure to go every year here on out.
