Beautiful and tranquil little park in a part of the real Florida. My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed camping here with our dog! Very dog friendly, saw lots of people with their pups. The campsite we stayed at was wonderful and very private and it had direct access to one of the trails which we loved!! The nature there is so gorgeous and the water was so calming and beautiful, especially at sunset!! We even saw a few white squirrels!!!!!! No white deer though! The only tiny little gripe that we had was that they only had one kayak ( people keep stealing them!! ) that my mom went in and that one had a hole in it and it started to sink while she was kayaking!! I guess they’ve had problems with people stealing kayaks so that’s why they only had one.

I enjoyed the stay here. There was wildlife everywhere! We were hunting just down the road at Tate's hell so this was really convenient for us. Bathrooms were nice and clean, big shower stalls with hot hot hot water. We saw an albino squirrel, fox squirrels, and regular old grey squirrels. We started in site #20 and it was right close to the river, very awesome to have coffee and watch the sun rise.

Pretty park. However, we didn't feel the campground was the best choice for our RV. We have a 38' class A unit and while the trees were beautiful, it seemed that the trees would be too low for our RV to fit safely. Recommend taking a look in person if possible before booking. These pics are ones I took while looking around.

Nice and peaceful! Loved seeing a white deer. We were visiting friends that were camping. I loved that there were lots of trees, but thought the campsites are too close together.

Great small campground with super clean and nice facilities, big campsites, and nice park staff. The location on the river is very pretty. Walking along the river is super nice. The day use area is also awesome.
