Heritage Center of Clark County, Springfield

The structure itself is one of the most fascinating architecturally in the Springfield area. Older people may remember when it housed the police department, city hall, or a fabulous weekly market place. There was nothing more pleasant than walking to the city market and shopping all the fresh produce, fish, and meats and bringing home the brown shopping bags full of delectable goodies from well known local family vendors! The building invokes many memories for long time area residents ~ a living history. Keep up the good work of preservation and "thank you!"

Marvelously well done displays. Larry, retired history teacher, was the docent who took me through the museum. I learned so much about manufacturing in Springfield in the past.

A great museum repository of the Clark County and area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Exhibits well kept and interesting while being very informative and relevant. Will def come back for a more thorough walk though. And u obv can't beat the free price

Awesome place to see the history of Springfield in Clark county. We had two separate people Connie and Carol show us around at different times and tell us wonderful stories. This place is a hidden gem right off the bike path in downtown Springfield in beautiful old building.
