Explore the historical campus of Flagler College, named after the famous industrialist Henry Morrison Flagler. You can wander the grounds on your own or take a student-led tour that grants access to more rooms. The centerpiece of the campus is Ponce de Leon Hall. The Spanish Renaissance-style building, a National Historic Landmark, was built in 1888 as a luxurious hotel, but today serves as a dining hall and residence hall for female students. Gaze up at the dining hall ceiling to see 200 hand-painted lions with lightbulbs in their mouths. The building also has colorful stained-glass windows and mosaics. Leave time to relax in the scenic college grounds. Plan your visit to Flagler College and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our St. Augustine trip builder app.

  • The architecture is worth seeing. Since it is a college some areas were closed to visitors. We saw a tour group so they must offer tours.

  • By far my most favorite tour in the entire city! Our tour guide was a lovely freshman named Leah and we had a very unique tour with cool observations and obscure little nuances of Henry Flager himself. It is a MUST to check out the college as a tourist or maybe a hopeful college student.
  • Very cool architecture and a great place to snap a photo while in town . I don’t attend the actual college just review based off the architecture outside . Very cool historical place for sure
  • Amazing architecture and interesting history. Worth visiting even just to see the grounds and the main lobby.
  • Had the special privilege to be on the 2pm tour of Flager College which started its life as the Flagler Hotel. Built to be the Newport of the South, the most incredible thing is all the original Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass windows. The entire property is jaw droppingly beautiful. Right now only 2 tours a day. One at 10am the other at 2pm. Adult tickets are $15 and worth it.
  • The tour of Flagler College was excellent. The student guide was very knowledgeable and spoke very clearly, so it was easy to understand her. Such a rich history for St. Augustine. I would recommend anyone to go if you are in St. Augustine and can spare the hour for the tour.
