Duckhorn Vineyards, St. Helena

We went to Duckhorn for an afternoon tasting. It was easy to schedule one the day before since it’s the off season. The estate is beautiful. Scott and Chris who helped us were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and their history. We also added a cheese/meat plate to go along with our tasting and it was such a nice surprise. Would highly recommend the whole experience.

Comfortable, quiet, and utterly relaxing farmhouse feel and experience. I've been coming here for wine tastings for many years and have never been disappointed. The service is always pleasant and professional, and if you like merlot, you'll love being here. Enjoy the sunlight, bread sticks, and that feel of getting away from it all. I always leave rested and recharged, and of course feeling chill.

Chris said, "I'm going to introduce the Discussion. It's better than an Argument." And that joke really sums up the brilliant experience we had at Duckhorn. The day was beautiful and we sat outside. We tasted at least 8-9 different wines (mostly reds) and munched on some delicious snackies. Our sommelier, Chris, was funny, informative and just wonderful. Now, we probably were treated this well because one of our friends is a member. But if this is how members are treated, then a membership is definitely worth it all!! You can get some really pretty pictures in the vineyards. All in all, a wonderful experience!

Duckhorn Vineyards near St. Helena is a must with awesome Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay from old vines. If you go, try the Three Palms Cabernet; it’s iconic. The tastings are held on their porch and, even though it was one of the larger wineries we visited, the seating and setting made it feel more intimate. The staff are top notch, which always guarantees a better tasting experience. Add to that, the grounds are simply spectacular too! A must stop in Napa.

Iconic winery, beautiful place to sit and relax. Wonderful landscaping, friendly staff. Buy a glass, buy a bottle, join their membership for exclusive wine offers too. I loved visiting Duckhorn!
