Lyon Rum Distillery, St. Michaels

Never again. We wanter to love it and the place is amazing but all the rums and gin were just unpalatable... the flavored rum tastes like cheap liquor that burned with over sweet syrup that didnt blend at all. :/

One of the most impressive aspects of Lyon is how knowledgeable and passionate the employees are about the rum. Love the aesthetic and overall atmosphere, the rums are so good. Can’t wait to come back and bring some peeps

As we walked into the tasting room, we were greeted by several friendly staff members who asked us if we wanted some samples. Tried many different types of spirits (Gin, Rum, Agave, etc). All were excellent. We purchased a bottle of the Gin and a bottle of their Rum that had some added caramel (both very tasty). I heard about the tours ahead of time, so we made sure we were there for that. What a great detailed informative tour. Would highly recommend arriving around a time that you could take the tour (I believe they are at 2pm and 4pm).

If you are wandering around town then you have to stop at the Lyon Distillery. I am not even a rum fan but I walked out with a bottle of dark rum and ginger beer. Their coffee liqueur is amazing. Best of all they do a free tasting so you can have an entertaining stop and try some new tastes. It was about $35 for a bottle of the dark rum.

Got a flight of rum at the Ocean Pines farmer's market. Didn't get a chance to try it out for several weeks, but when I did...WOW! I never expected to drink rum straight up and enjoy it so much. The dark rum has a great flavor with an almost black licorice finish. The Rock and Rum was also pretty awesome...sweet with a great flavor. Whiskey drinkers will appreciate Sailor's Reserve. Wound up ordering a flight for a friend and a bottle of Dark Rum for myself. They delivered my order to me and even accommodated delivering it a day early so that I could have it to take the flight when visiting my friend. Putting the Rock and Rum on my Christmas list. Great products and excellent service! Was very happy to see at least one liquor store carry their products. Definitely recommend giving their rums a "shot" (but sip it to savor the flavor)!
