I booked a sunset cruise for my husbands birthday and had to rescheduled twice due to weather. It was worth the wait! We experienced a beautiful sunset sail with Captain Susie and Kerry. They were fun and informative and played suitable background music at just the right volume. We saw one dolphin and the views were simply stunning. Even the staff that answers phones and signs you in are friendly. The overall experience was perfect and as a local, I look forward to sailing with them again soon as the value can’t be beat.

We had a wonderful time on our sunset sail. The weather, water, crew, and experience was all perfect. Everyone in the group loved it. The price is very affordable. There were about 20 people total on the sail boat Magic. It did feel slightly cramped sometimes, but it’s fine if people spread to all sides of the boat (vs all parties trying to sit at the front). The trip we did sails for about 3 miles through the Pass-A-Grille Channel and 3 miles back for about 2 & 1/2 hours. Overall the experience was great. We loved popping a bottle of champagne on the boat since it’s byob. There’s a cooler on board to keep your drinks cold.

My first time on a sailboat was outstanding! The wind blowing across the boat kept it cool and the jib sail sometimes kept us in the shade (we sat towards the bow). The cruise around the intercostal waterway was more than expected. We enjoyed seeing the buildings, boats, bridges, birds and homes as we sailed around - dreaming of a life on the water as we attempted to get our sea legs. After about 1-1/2 hours of this two hour tour we started seeing dolphins near the boat so the captain steered us towards them, every time we saw some he would turn the boat to get closer. Once a very large boat went by and a dolphin was jumping completely out of the water seeming to chase it. You may think that the one application of sunscreen is enough but I highly recommend bringing more and applying it at least twice during the voyage. A wide brimmed hat is very handy. Boat shoes may not be needed but we did get splashed twice so you may want to skip socks with whatever your choice of footwear is. They do have water and some soda but I’d ask them if they will have your preferred beverage before you board and, if not, take a short walk to the nearby store to get your choice as the boat had an ice cold cooler that they will put your drinks into, they even will bring you your own drinks when needed. The crew did an amazing job at showing us all what this part of Florida has to offer on the water.

Had such a great time on the water today with Susi and Gary. Dolphin Landings have smaller boats, are a little more pricey than the larger more crowded boats, but it was perfect for us. The sailboat we were on was so cool. Everyone had a great time. Finding the pod of dolphins was a bonus but honestly the time out on the water was really nice anyways.

Considering this was our first time sailing we had a blast. Even though the weather was a bit chillier than usual it was still fun to make our way through the bay south to the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico. We arrived just in time to catch the sunset and everyone was able to grab some great photos. Rick and Cecil were experts with our ship (Fantasea) and I’d gladly join them for another trip. :-)
