South Straub Park, St. Petersburg

Excellent park to run, walk and walk with the dog and have an amazing view of the pier and marine. The building is gorgeous. The location is perfect.

Nice quiet park. There is no much activity to do here other than taking a peaceful walk. One can probably sit and have picnic. There is water fountain.

Visited on New Years eve 2019 with family. We enjoyed walking around while vendors were setting up for the evening and listening to live music. My 3yr old grandchild was fascinated by all the boats at the marina and loved climbing up the huge Banyan trees. Lots of good restaurants line the street. Great place to spend a relaxing day. Parked in a parking garage 5 min walk from the parking. It was only $3 for the whole afternoon-what a deal!

Downtown St Petersburg is amazing. The founders were determined to maintain the original natural settings as much as possible. The waterfront captures the essence of why people come to visit then move to the area. There is so much to do around this part...two excellent museums and outdoor dining, a long causeway to the end of the pier. It all circles the historic park and draws people to engage in nature.

All the parks are amazing in st pete. This one on the south south of beach drive has more marina water views and views to downtown st pete airport
