  • Nice beach to park and watch some spectacular sunsets. In the summer you must have a resident sticker to get in. Dogs are not allowed on the beach 😕

  • Great location for the area but the launch area is pretty dangerous with westerly winds. This area gets the best wind in Southern CT.

  • lifeguard on duty during the summer, fishing available too from the jettys just beyond the official swimming area. You need a Stratford beach sticker in the summer, other times, admission is free...

  • The 63-acre Connecticut peninsula comprising Pleasure Beach and Long Beach connects to what is now the town of Stratford. In 1887 a section of Long Beach was sold by the town of Stratford to Walter Nichols. Nichols built an amusement park on it, and sold it for a handsome profit to two millionaire brewers who christened it Pleasure Beach. In 1895 a brochure for the park enticed visitors with the promise of a skating rink, miniature railroad, arcade, roller coaster, merry-go-round, 5000-seat coliseum, and a bicycle racing track. By 1905 the park had beautifully landscaped gardens, a Ferris wheel, the Razzle Dazzle funhouse, a bandstand, a vaudeville theater, a toboggan ride, and more.
  • I was here in September. A great place to walk along the beach, tons of shells and fun rock to collect along the way!
  • Nice and quiet place to relax and recharge.
  • Beautiful town beach. Nice and Sandy and not very crowded.
  • One of the best places to stop and gain perspective.
