  • Old Firehouse No 1 is full of memorabilia and history. Great place to take kids or plan a meeting as they rent the second floor for meeting space.

  • We had a great time visiting with my dad Captain Denver K. Smith who served for over 30 years with the City of Tampa fire department. He really enjoyed going down memory lane. An extra bonus was to see that they had a huge picture of my husband HCFR retired Captain Jerry Smith from a 1999 fire at Carlton arms apartments.
  • We saved a visit to this museum for the summer as an indoor activity for hot days. Definitely will visit here again. We learned new things and the section for kids definitely kept the attention of our 3 year old. We should’ve come here sooner! Joy was working when we arrived and she was so friendly and helpful. If you’re a Tampa resident, make this a must-see on your list to learn some background of our city.
  • There's a lot of history here at this Museum. My grandsons loved alot of unique, old, new things is in here, if you're child love firemans or trucks this will be a nice place for them to explore. They also sell t-shirts and other items. This lady that was in there was super friendly..... will visit again with my other 2 grandson.
  • I just ran in to buy a Christmas gift at the store, so I didn't tour the museum. From what I saw, I'm going to try to get back and do that. As far as my shopping experience, they were super nice and helped me find exactly what I was looking for and made sure the size was right. They have limited hours, but I was told to call if they're closed because there's usually someone right upstairs who can help.
  • Small, fun, informative museum!
