  • Fascinating historical summary. No idea how diverse this area was in mid 1800s. Truly a melting pot of immigrants. Very good overview

  • Small but mighty. There isn’t a lot here, but they did well with the space they have. You definitely get a good sense of the history of Ybor.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The 20 minute video sets the stage with the history of Ybor City. It shares the beginning of the city with its founder - Ybor. We learn the impact of Cuban...

  • There was a arts and crafts market in progress. My friends and I meandered for hours, admiring the items available and occasionally buying. Between visiting vendors we enjoyed the marvelous music being played over the sound system and frequently broke into dance - not a boring song all day - yet it was always at a volume that allowed for casual conversation. I couldn't resist taking pictures of the multitude of chickens wandering freely and fearlessly, sometimes enjoying bits of food given by other people. All in all I am definitely looking forward to a return visit with more money in my pocket and maybe a handful of cracked corn for the chickens.
  • This place leaves me with mixed feelings. I love the history, architecture, roosters, all things Cuban, etc but there's also your typical run down aspects of city life and "characters" sitting around or wandering around which leaves you feeling a little off (females & families with younger children will relate the most). Unfortunately we didn't realize the museum was closed today so we just walked around. Photographers dream though!! So many textures, colors, architecture, etc. Got some great pics! I would come back but I see why people say not to come at night to sight see😬.
  • I wish I could have checked out the actual museum but it was closed the one day of the week that I went. The park itself was very pretty in well maintained. It's really funny to see the roosters running around, make sure you learn the history of why they are!
  • Loved it. Very nice and quaint. Only $4.00 per person. You get to see a 20 minute video of the history of Ybor city and then you can walk around looking at the different displays. If you take the trolley (it's free) you can get down on stop #1 and the museum is across the plaza/park. Definitely recommend.
  • The rich & diverse history that made the City of Tampa is awesome!!! The boutique museums are fantastic. Glad that we were able to visit🍷
