New Sheridan Hotel, Telluride

Lovely hotel. Great staff. Nice rooms. But the noise from the bar downstairs made it impossible to sleep until after 2:00 a.m. The white noise machine helped but not enough to sleep. 😟

Their restaurant, the chophouse, is awesome. They always have Jack Daniels on special. New Sheridan is a great “old hotel”.

This hotel was beautiful and the restaurant is the best in town. We arrived early and the service getting checked in was a 10/10. Giving 3 stars for a few reasons. Our first day here we wanted to go have a drink at the hotel bar. We asked the gentlemen behind the bar for a drink menu and he told us if we really wanted one he would need go digging for it, making us feel bad we even asked for one. We decided to get drinks somewhere else. We stayed in a beautiful room overlooking main street but the windows are very, very thin. Weirdly our hotel phone kept ringing our first night in, once at 2:30 in the morning and then again at 6:30 so between the bar noise, fireworks at 1:30 AM, and the phone calls, our first night here was just exhausting. Overall the stay here was pleasant and we enjoyed our time at this hotel.

Could I love this place more? I could not. The charm of the spaces, the care and thoughtfulness of the service, the friendly and welcoming people and the beautiful interiors are all a dream. I LOVE this hotel. The room was spacious and the bathroom beautifully appointed. I love the food. I love the staff. I love the beautiful, beeeeeeauuuuutiful old bar. This place is a complete gem, it’s the whole package. Come and spend your money here, they deserve it and you will enjoy it all. I can’t wait to come back.

Five stars cross the board. The only real complaint was the smell of the restaurant drafted up into the hotel side in the morning.
