Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch

Stopping at Sea Ranch Chapel is always on my list when visiting this area. The Chapel is peaceful and open to anyone. It sits far enough back to be extremely peaceful while offering beautiful stained glass, stone work and wood work that combine together for a unique building in a peaceful naturistic setting. As we arrived we were lucky enough to catch a deer grazing and relaxing under the surrounding trees.

So beautiful! Happened to spot the chapel on the way to town, so on the way back out I kept an eye out. So glad we were able to find it again. Peaceful area with beautiful stained glass and woodwork.

Gorgeous local chapel. Door is open for prayer or art. Lovely little path around the place (watch out for the poison oak). Sweet small space, reflective and relaxing. Beautiful design. Worth a quick stop. Heading north, it’s the next turn after the fire station.

This place looks like if a peacock and chicken had a baby that was reincarnated as a building that was inhabited by the friendly witch of the north. The amount of artistry and precision necessary to create such a unique environment is stunning in itself. Words and photos to do not do it justice so make sure to visit whenever you are traversing the 1.

This small, but charming chapel is easy to miss. As you head north from Fort Ross to Gualala, after you pass Sea Ranch, watch for a sign on the right-hand of the road. Hopefully the wild fires will continue to spare this gem.
