    Best trail in the park. Long and far, not a ton of elevation gain. Worth walking for the views. Lots of hoodoos around and big open views. The grass with the rock formations is unique. Highly recommended. You do get to a lot of spots people can drive to but quickly are away as soon as you are back on the trail

    IF IT IS WET OUT, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO HIKE! The trail conditions were so slick and muddy and dangerous. We could only make it a mile in before turning around. I wish we could’ve hiked the loop on different day, but we had no idea how impossible the trail would become if it was raining. We had to hold onto trees as lifelines to be able to navigate without falling. This was one of the worst hiking experiences I’ve ever had

    A nice moderate trail. Took us 2-3 hours to complete. Some parts can get rough and washed out. Watch for poison ivy when going through the brushy tree areas. Beautiful views at various points.

    Definitely the highlight of our trip here was this trail- if you’re only looking to do one trail- this is it. You get to see a bit of everything from this trail. We saw a lot of bison 🦬(from far away) as well as saw a deer up close and a baby rattlesnake even closer (oops). We did not run into anyone else doing this trail so it felt very private. There is a lot of brush in some areas so you may want to wear long pants.
