  • We read about the trails online through Trip Advisor and decided to visit. Nice trails, but confusing as they don’t indicate where you are going. There are colored markers, but it’s easy to get...

  • There are several walking trails through the woods and also down to the fishing ponds. My wife and I really enjoy the wooded walks as there are plenty of birds and critters to see.

  • A nature's paradise right inside the city. Great for hiking or shred some trails on your bike. There are water features and wildlife. You can also fish in the ponds. One of Topeka's gems. It's safe and a great family activity. The Governor's mansion gives scheduled tours and houses beautiful history, architecture and art. When there's nothing to do in Topeka - start here by getting out and getting some fresh air. Another perk is, there are no fees associated with visiting the property. Enjoy!
  • Love walking the trails here. There are so many different trails that you can mix it up everytime and see things from new angles and perspectives. With several different ponds and a river nearby, the wildlife is abundant. I've seen Turkey, turtles, and deer. There's even remnants of old foundations and walls. You'll even come across old wagon ruts from the Oregon trail in the field.
  • This is the place to go in topeka for some outdoors fun. There is a nice paved area for a short walk and a woodsy area for hiking. I come here often to go on runs and to walk my dog.
  • Beautiful park. Lots of trees. What a way to escape for just a few moments. Very convenient to Topeka. Worth pulling over and making a stop.
  • Cedar Crest is the residence of the Governor of the State of Kansas. The surrounding property is full of prairie, woodlands, fishing ponds, hiking trails and numerous other recreational opportunities. The natural part of Cedar Crest is what my review is focusing on. However, I believe that you can still tour the Cedar Crest main house at certain times of the year. I toured it a decade or so ago, and it is worth it! The primary thing that keeps me coming back to Cedar Crest is the natural beauty. My brother and I have also gone Geo Caching in the area before too. Thank you Governor Kelly for sharing your home and grounds with your fellow Kansan's! We greatly appreciate it!
