  • A gem of history stretching from the early days aircraft to modern "fast movers." Many of the aircraft still being restored, and the arrival of new pieces to restore and display continues. Friendly...

  • It was so an amazing place more than I expected! There were also some very interesting former fighter aircraft on display around this museum. Only active duty members get a discount at the museum. Family members are not eligible for discounts. There is a souvenir shop as soon as you enter the museum. You pay the fee at the counter here. On this day, there was only one clerk. He was very friendly and answered all my questions. The museum is very well maintained and the exhibits are very nice, there is a small gallery on the second floor with paintings and other exhibits. We so much enjoyed this place! I highly recommend this place. This is worth of money to enjoy yourself.
  • Amazing museum, with lots of great stories. We really should be talking about the amazing art on display here. There's so much to see! The staff is great! They really made this an enjoyable trip. Their passion for the aircraft and this facility are inspiring.
  • My wife and I stayed in Topeka on our way to Colorado and decided to visit the Combat Air Museum while there. We were greeted by a gentleman named Ralph and offered a guided tour which we happily excepted. He was extremely kind and knowledgeable. It was very rewarding to learn he was personally responsible for bringing some of the aircraft for display. It was a tremendous experience being able to not only see a vast and diverse amount of aircraft but the huge collection of art work as well as supporting equipment. There are so many great displays and so worth the time and inexpensive entrance fee to visit. I encourage everyone to invest the time to visit and bring young people, so they can learn so much about our history.
  • I was at the museum on 8-20-22. The history of military combat plans, jet and helicopters is amazing. They have retired veterans giving tours of what they have there. I enjoyed myself very much. One thing everyone should do is at the end of the tour spend time with one of the veterans and ask them about there time in the service. These men and women are living history. Coming from a military family I always ask my father and grandparents about there time in the service. If you don't. It will fade away. It's not just about the machinery that is there. It's about those who gave there all and still are today.
  • The Combat Air Museum never ceases to amaze me. We have visited twice now and always have discovered something new. The hangars are absolutely packed full with planes and the stories of various pilots. This is the perfect day trip for anyone from the Kansas City area. The staff is lovely and the facilities are very clean. Very handicap friendly any obstacles are maneuverable. Thank you Combat Air Museum for keeping history alive while inspiring others.
