  • Very clean, nice state park. Beautiful lake to swim in & great hiking areas. It was nice & quiet today but it wasn't a holiday. Sometimes holidays get loud out there.

  • A very, very pleasant park with a lake and hilly surroundings. It was very quiet. The map was accurate and helpful. It looks like it would be good for camping and/or glamping.

  • This is easily one of the biggest state parks I've been to. Clean, the staff is extraordinarily nice and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. The trails are well defined and easy to follow. The scenery is just amazing, so beautiful. The lake is spring fed and the water is extremely clear. I highly recommend this park for a daytrip or a weekend retreat or week long vacation!
  • One of the best parks in the state! Went in the dead of summer and still saw so much vegetation! Excellent trails and wonderful camping, especially for beginners! You can also rent row boats, paddle boats and kayaks. It's no wonder why they book camping sites fast. I highly recommend this state park!
  • Visited for a day. Clean, friendly, beautiful. The park is huge and we had a nice time walking around seeing the different views. They have fishing rentals like a library loan that we didn't get around to. There is a playground. Pet friendly. Good picnic areas.
  • “Tranquil haven in the pines” is a spot-on description for the park. It’s a beautiful park with lovely trails through the pines. The waterfall was a tad underwhelming but the surrounding woods made up for the slight disappointment The day use area has a nice swimming area with a floating dock. And the signs throughout the park showing the original CCC projects are a lovely reminder of the park’s history. The camping sites are close to nature and well designed.
  • Excellent State Park offering RV and Tent camping, hiking, biking, swimming, kayak, canoe and paddle boat rentals. Nice bathroom and shower facilities, a nice park store and a beautiful new visitor center opening soon. The park and lake are gorgeous with well groomed trails, grasses, lilly pads and towering trees. Lots of day use picnic tables and grills as well. There are several campgrounds in the park and also shelters and group pavilions. Highly recommended.
