  • Next time you drive down Evergreen Highway and have a bit of time, stop in at the hatchery and nature preserve. Peaceful, educational, and a beautiful spot to enjoy nature.

  • My kids enjoy this place. There is lots of hands on activities, trails, a little play area inside... lots of options. Great place to go on a rainy day.

  • A beautiful nature walk, fish hatchery, and educational experience all in one! Worth multiple visits at different times of the year. Great volunteers and well-maintained facilities.

  • A well-maintained outdoor hatchery with green surroundings and informative displays. It seems that hiking trails extend every way from the parking lot, and we hope to explore more of them next time we visit.
  • Went for a quick trip after going to the water resource center. There were about 9 different spots where fish would be but only one spot had fish in it. We found out later that they had just completed a dump of fish at Lacamas Lake. The worker that we ran into was very educational and shared that there were about 8,000 fish in one of the small runs and that they would be placed into Lacamas, Klineline and Battle Ground. He also shared about an upcoming fishing event for little ones in May or so. There was an opportunity to feed the fish! It was so much fun. There were so many trails that could be walked and different parts of the springs that could be visited. Overall such a nice way to get outdoors and to learn about fish and their habitats!
  • Great place to walk around with the little ones! Fish to see, bridges to cross, it's a loop trail so once you finish you're back, but there's other little trails to follow to.
  • This is the site of a camera monitored parking lot which allows access to four trails, Biddle lake and East Biddle lake. They are all short but absolutely picturesque and fun to traverse. The two trails around the lakes, as well as Trillium trail and the other dirt trail on the west side of the parking lot are not ADA friendly or traversible if you have mobility issues. There are jutting tree roots and fallen sticks, cones and leaf litter on the trails as well. So stepping carefully is important. There is a fish hatchery, volunteers on hand in the classroom on Saturday and plenty of informational signs. There are two buildings on the property which appear to have once been homes but are now admin buildings. Leashed, behaved dogs with respectful, dooky wrangling humans are allowed on the narrow paths. There is a box with dooky bags on the east end of the parking lot and a trash just past the round pools outside the classroom. This spot also allows access to the Evergreen Blvd "trail", which runs along the sidewalk. There are two trees on the north side of the street with signage marking them as saved by locals when the city wanted to tear them down. There is no fee to park. I highly recommend you check this small cluster of trails and local fish hatchery.
  • In the nearly 40 years I've lived in Vancouver, I had never been here before today. Beautiful place, with many smaller (less then a mile) trails to explore. 2 little lakes to walk around, kiddos spotted some bunnies, ducks, fish, and a crane. Decent sized parking lot with a very small amount of people here. Well kept, clean and some great spots for some pics. This is also located next to a smaller bike trail. Fun little spot for an adventure with the fam. Will go back again to explore the 2 trails we didn't do this time.
