  • Combine with a trip to Ft. Vancouver. A nice walk and a ton of good information covering pre- and post European arrival.

  • Where nature, history, and place are the medium, this art you can walk through will fill up your senses. The sounds of city life, highways and trains, juxtaposed with native plant life and gentle curves mixed with historic stories of a long-lost city before colonization, field and fort, and modern city industry provide much to reflect on. In short, take this walk.
  • Peaceful approach through the prairie and nods to the land and history through interpretive panels. Wild to be next to the highway and train tracks but in a peaceful nature corridor.
  • Connecting Historic Fort Vancouver to the Vancouver Waterfront Trail, this pedestrian only throughway appears to unite several distinct moments in time. Early post-colonial America on the one side, modern industry travelling under it, and budding Pacific Northwest commerce on the other side. The elevation is gradual and the walk is easy, with historical tidbits peppered along the way.
  • Fantastic views of the mountains... Hood and St Helen's were visible on the day we walked the bridge to the Fort
  • This is a great place for a short walk and a chance to wander around a few historic places. The climb over the freeway is a slow and steady grade so it should be good for a variety of people.
