Island Packers, Ventura

We had a truly wonderful experience on our half day grey whale watching trip. The staff were kind and the boarding was easy. Once on the boat, we got useful guidance from the crew members and they told us exactly where to look to see the whales in the distance. The dolphins were spectacular. Really nice to have a little cafe/bar on the boat too. Would definitely do it again.

Took a boat trip to Santa Rosa and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and we had still waters. Praise God! We saw flying fish, dolphins, seals. The flying fish were definitely the highlight of the trip. On the island we got to swim with lots of leopard sharks. Definitely a trip worth taking.

Awesome time! Visited Santa Cruz Island and it was great for a day trip. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The on boarding and off boarding east and coordinated. Bring food water and if you’re prone to sea sick/motion sick some meds for the hour boat ride out there. Also recommend a water proof jacket for the ride it can get a little windy and sea spray sitting outside (it’s all fun though). Saw a pod of 50 dolphins playing in our wake on the way out and it was a highlight of the trip :)

Had such a great trip that we plan to go to another island soon. Staff everywhere was very nice except in the ferry's snack bar. Now our group knows to carry more snacks for the trip so we don't have a bad experience for next time. Other then that, awesome experience.

Everyone from the Island Packers to the rangers and the tour guides seem to work closely together. The common goal apparently is to preserve this little garden of eden and to show what we can accomplish if we work with nature, not against it. The boat ride alongside hundreds of dolphins was an unforgettable highlight. I could ride that ferry all day long everyday!
