Mountain Creek, Vernon

We had our wedding here over the summer, and it was a fantastic experience. The venue was great, everyone we worked with through the entire process was excellent, the entire experience from start to finish through planning and the actual day of were all better than we could have hoped. As a particular highlight, the entire experience of getting married on top of the mountain while having everyone ride the cable cars up and down for the ceremony was amazing, and all our guests have continued to talk about how fantastic that was and the entire wedding was for the three months since we got married. We had many people (us included) who made a long weekend out of it to go hiking, chill in the pool, go to the water park, and such in the area and it was about the best wedding weekend we could have hoped for. Strongly recommend.

I have been coming to Mountain Creek since I was a teenager and I will continue to come here for life! They are an excellent ski resort in the winters, and one of the most fun water parks I've been to in the summers! Their skiing is fun and easy going, great for beginners, while still being leisurely fun for experts to enjoy as well. Their water Park has one of the best wave pools around, and really fun and unique (and completely safe) slides and other water "rides." My favorites are their cliff jump and Tarzan swing!

You can tell the owners of this resort put some thought into it. It's well planned for fun all year round. Excellent location for weddings, zip lining, water park, mountain biking, hiking and a beer garden. Fun for all members of the family. Shout out to Heather and Morgan they were fantastic guides at the zipline. Will definitely be back.

I cannot begin to tell you how horrible my experience was at this place. The staff was absolutely useless. They were also very disrespectful. The website is very misleading. Me and my group thought that we were purchasing tickets for the lift and the rentals. After we had already purchased our tickets, they told us it was a separate charge for the rentals which was okay if they did not make it so hard to switch our tickets. We were trying to explain to them that we did not know how to switch our tickets in which they responded “Oh, she told you that. Well she’s new and doesn’t really know what she’s doing.” I was trying to pick up my rental when the employees running the stand said “Hey, come look at this one. She is definitely your type. You can totally get on that. When you come back, you need to ask for me don’t worry I will take care of you.” then I was met with horrible glares. as if I was not standing directly in front of them. They also looked at my friend and said “is anybody going to get that one?” they proceeded to look her up and down before responding with “no, I think I’d rather do this one.” another girl from my group was also getting very disrespectful comments from another employee who was giving out the boots, before he winked at her while looking her up and down. every time we would ask for help not one of the employees was able to give us a straight answer. I would personally say that I am never going back to this place. I did not even feel comfortable returning my rentals, knowing I would have to talk to those employees.

It's not Vermont Skiing but still a great mountain with helpful staff. Great snow-making and trail grooming. Four mountains with trails for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Recommend that beginners stay at Vernon til they feel more confident to go to other mountains. Lodge at Vernon and South. Good food at both locations. Ski rental and lessons at Vernon. Only a little over an hour from NYC.
