  • The tour was very informative and the tour guide was down to earth and very relatable! We were told that it was a 90 minute tour, but even though it went down to 50 minutes, it was still a great tour. We went to the tour and tasting, and the tasting was the best part. Getting to sample the different bourbons, and experiencing all the flavors were something different. Would recommend and would go again and again!
  • This location is by far the best of any bourbon distillery! The horse farms along the roads as you travel in on the rolling hills are absolutely stunning! Very tranquil experience that gave you a very peaceful mindset as you toured the campus! A must visit if you are visiting Frankfurt. Next time I visit I will plan to your one of the nearby horse farms that breed some of Kentucky’s most famous race horses.
  • Decided to go and visit Woodford Reserve Distillery while we were in town visiting a friend. Overall, i thought this place looked very modern and interior feel looked nice with a glass display of their bottle as decoration. Right across from their gift shop building, they also had a separate building specifically for cocktail bar so we decided to go and check it out. I tried their drink called "Spire" which was very tasty and didn't have an overwhelming amount of bourbon. With every cocktail purchase, you also get a free chilling copper cup to take home as well, which is very nice (u can also buy them at the gift shop)! Definitely check em out if you're in town!
  • Highly Trafficked Distillery. First, before you just show up you need to decide what you want to do. If you show up day of and try to get a tour, you may be out of luck. I would recommend that you do that well in advance of your trip, I have heard you need to do it months in advance but we got our tickets a week out. They do have a separate area across the street to just do the tastings which should be a drop in. On the tour, you get to view the grounds, go into the production area and walk through the storage/bottling area. Our guide was Beth and she was the best, very knowledgeable and truly enjoyed her job. The tour concludes with a tasting, we had 4 drinks to taste. Overall, the tour is about an hour and they try to keep the groups on the smaller side (about 20). The gift shop is where everything starts/ends so you have ample opportunity to grab a bottle of anything, I recommend the double oaked (you try it on the tour).
  • You better have a tour lined up before showing up because this isn’t a huge place and it’s very popular. That said, go here because the grounds are impeccable. Even just stopping for a cocktail at their cocktail expansion, is worth it. I will definitely be going back to take the distillers tour because I was floored by this place. It’s also near so many horse farms. The scenery of this distillery can’t be put into words.
