Carlson's Lovable Llamas, Waconia

What a fun experience! Spent about 1.5 hours learning about llamas, petting and hugging all the baby llamas, walking the llamas and brushing them. We went with a group of 8 ranging from 5 to 60 years old and every single one of us loved it. The tour guide, Evan, was excellent and and SO great with the kids. Llamas were incredibly calm and tolerant of my kids that wanted to love up on them. Love. Love. Love! One of the coolest things I've done in awhile. Will be back!

I wanted to take my nieces to visit the llamas. I wasn't sure what to expect. When we pulled up it looked like just a normal farm, nothing too fancy. But the tour guide and llamas make this place magical. The girls got to meet the llamas, take them for a walk, brush them, and go meet the baby llamas. They were beyond excited for this experience and I'm so glad we came. They already asked to come back the next time they visit. 10/10.

First time visitors, had a blast!!! Llamas are my favorite animal, so I was pretty stoked. Staff were friendly and informative, and I never felt rushed to move to the next event. Cute gift shop too! Give Bob Marley a hug from me. 😊 We will definitely be back!

Great place. 8AM-5PM there are assistants doing lessons and tied llamas you can walk. The farm is still available 6:00 to 7:30-ish, but by then you have to catch the llama and put on the halter, but you have to know what you're doing. Edit: As stated by the owners, the farm is ONLY available after hours if you are in the adopt a llama program. Thank you for the clarification. The assistants who work there are incredible and you can tell the llamas are treated very well. The farm has a very friendly cat named Edward who will let you pet him, and his two (?) kittens.

Even better than expected! My kids (9 and 14) and I had such an amazing time. The llamas are so fun and full of personality, the staff is really knowledgeable and kind and there’s really nothing else like this in the area. We learned llama facts, hugged and petted them, took them walking, fed them treats and brushed their soft fur. All 3 of us had the best time, I can’t think of anyone that wouldn’t love this experience.
