  • Not currently a good place to snorkel. The Disc golf course was hard to follow. We couldn’t find all the baskets. The last picture is of one of the boulder pools.

  • Quiet beach (at least on a Saturday in February). Beautiful sand and nice water with adjacent walking path. Overall enjoyable experience.

  • Beautiful beach with multiple playgrounds for the littles. Well protected, water for the kids to swim. Definitely a safe spot. Surprisingly there was a school of fish swimming around 🐟 🐟 🐟 inside the protected rock area around 15 or 20 about a foot or so long. Water depth stays pretty shallow the whole time about waist deep. I definitely recommend it for toddlers with parents & young and kids.
  • Perfect! BEAUTIFUL Sunsets. Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) make their way onto the beach at dusk! We did not swim here, but looked like it would be a great place for it. Nice park for playing and picnics. Good eateries across the street and plenty of parking!
  • Such a great beach park. Its actually really close to the airport, so if you need to spend some time, go here. The bad traffic is usually up closer to Kapa'a. It can be very windy with high waves, but there are rock pools to keep the surf to a minimum if swimming. There is a giant playground for kids. This beach has life guards at the rock pools. If you want to body board or surf board its best to have some experience because the waves are no joke here. There is more than enough parking at this beach, there are multiple clean restrooms, large covered picnic areas, and shower stations to wash the sand and salt off your body after getting wet on the beach.
  • Lydgate Beach Park is the perfect place to spend a day at the beach with friends and family. There are numerous open spaces for sports or picnics. A mix of open beaches for advanced swimmers/SUPs/kayakers and also protected areas for children and snorkelers. Clean restrooms and freshwater showers, as well as lifeguard services. There are also a mix of shady and sunny tables and benches to enjoy your beach experience.
  • One of the best beaches in Kauai especially if you are with small kids. There is plenty of parking , bench for picnic and restrooms. The beach has portion divided with rocks to make it safe zone for kids to swim or snorkel! There is a lifeguard on duty too and plenty of palm trees to take rest and relax! Don’t miss this spot especially if you have kids
