Enjoy spectacular views of crested buttes and rugged red cliffs while hiking the geological wonder that is Waimea Canyon State Park. Fondly known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” the canyon stretches over 22.5 km (14 mi) and is 1,097 m (3,600 ft) deep. Hike along the deep valley gorge to the Waimea Overlook to admire the vivid red and green coloring of the volcanic canyon and for panoramic views of the Kaua’i interior. You can rent a car to explore the area or catch a tour bus to the top of the canyon. Be sure to carry a jacket, as the area tends to be very windy. What a jaw dropping visit this was. The beauty of the canyon is totally amazing. Don't miss a day trip here on your visit. No food or beverages so be prepared.

Stunning views with super easy access! We drove through the park stopping at scenic outlooks and got to see stunning views of the canyon. The views get better as you go further in. We decided to take one of the hiking trails and realized quickly we were not well prepared so make sure to do your research if you want to hike. There is a small fee as you get further into the park, you can pay at machines in the parking lot. The views were stunning and much more than we expected

This is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! The views over the canyon are absolutely breathtaking. There is a very nice lookout area with some good views and photo spots. There are also a couple trails that you can walk/hike that have some good views as well (although they are a bit challenging). Overall a must-visit place on the island.

Fabulous adventure with stunning vistas! Don't miss out on the hike to the waterfalls! It's a time commitment but absolutely worth it. Wear good hiking shoes and take time to enjoy all of the views.

Great views! It rains a lot in the winter up there. Make sure to not get stuck on a muddy trail if it looks like rain. It was a tough trek back, very slippery. Stay on the dry cement paths! Had a great time! Amazing views including a double waterfall.

Waimea canyon is one a the most beautiful place I've visited on Kauai. Lookouts are very beautiful! A lot of hikes to do in this park and every time you're rewarded with an awesome view of the canyon. I recommend hiking Waimea canyon trail, it's a 2 hours hike with a great canyon overview and you will also see very nice waterfalls. Worth the visit
