Grandpa's Charters, Wanchese

So much fun!!! This is the 3rd year in row that we have been on Grandpas charters. Captain Russel is so fun to fish with. His first mate Mike is a blast to hang out with too. We always learn something new and they let know how to catch crab and shrimp. We will be back next year and we will 100% be going again. Also remember don’t bring bananas! They are bad luck 😃

Captain Russell was wonderful! He was very flexible at suggesting whatever it takes to make sure we had a great day! From crabbing to dolphins, we appreciated his knowledge and understanding what we would like to make a great memory! Holly was wonderful and we look forward to seeing them again soon!

We got turned onto him from a friend. The Capt. and his Mate lead our salty crew on an bountiful raid of the shrimping fields. Our boys learned alot of fun facts about the fishery. They were also put to work pulling lines and sorting the haul. Highly recommend 11 out of 10.

This was our second charter with Grandpa's Charters. Always such a pleasant experience; we will be back next year!

My kids(20-27 years old)and I just got back from a 4-hour shrimp and crab trip. It was awesome! The Captain and First Mate were a blast to go out with. They explained exactly what we were doing and why. The experience alone was worth the trip! Take the kids, take the ladies, take the whole family! Anyone can do this. You don't have to know anything about fishing! And we brought home 35lbs of monster shrimp! Thanks again Russ and Mike, see you next year!
