  • The only other covered bridge we have ever visited is located off the historic Valley Pike in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. Elder Mill Covered Bridge is the second. Located at 1441 Elder Mill Road...

  • Had a soccer game in Watkinsville and saw on trip advisor the "Elder Mill Bridge" as a place of interest. Drove over the bridge and back. Really neat experience if you are in the area.

  • Worth the drive, not far from main roads. Small area to pull off before the bridge. Our truck was too big to drive over it. Nice scenery if you enjoy the covered bridges and the outdoors. Noone was around except a couple cars drove by and over the bridge.
  • Really cool old covered bridge and the creek below is beautiful as well! It’s well worth the visit! Stop and take some photos!
  • Beautiful down here and peaceful walking down was rough there my be another way idk though almost broke my neck 🙃 Amazing scenery!!!
  • We stopped by to see it again and enjoy this wonderful example historic engineering and craftsmanship. It is just minutes off the highway. It is basically in a rural neighborhood with a few widely scattered homes, with several in view from the bridge area. Please enjoy the covered bridge but be respectful to the local residents.
  • 1897 wooden covered bridge uses wooden pegs to hold it together
