  • Be forewarned that you cannot climb to the top of this one. But if you are in the area, it is worth a stop to learn the history of this relic.

  • Beautiful lighthouse. There is work being done to restore and fix the stairs so people can ascend the lighthouse. The museum is small but with lots of information. Mary was wonderful, with knowledge, stories, and a great smile. If you love lighthouses, consider donating to help the restoration efforts.
  • I will say first, sadly I didn't take the time to enter the facility. I was traveling with furbabies and they were tiring of getting in an out of the vehicle. That out of the way- - - On a recent "turn and burn" trip to Niagara Falls NY. When traveling and lighthouses are near, one must photograph. On scenic Highway 5 along Lake Erie you will find several lighthouses. Some like Barcelona Lighthouse are just off the road. Others, in the water. And some on a pier. The history, the views, and the beautiful Autumn day made travel perfect. This now long decommissioned lighthouse was the FIRST in the world to use natural gas to light the bulbs. Only 40 feet in hight, and of stone it is still a beauty at over 150 years young! Take a trip, sit back and take in the views. Visit Lake Erie and some of her hidden gems. I guarantee, I'll make it around again.
  • This is worth checking out. You can't go up in it but I was able to look inside. Also, a nice place to just sit and enjoy lake Erie. This is 1 mile from Westfield and just off the freeway. There is a convenience store across the street as well. Down the hill is a marina
  • Very neat lighthouse. Shorter to its other counterparts but tons of personality. Might actually be shorter than the Ocracoke lighthouse. Located at the top of a hill near a boating pier. It has a cool low key stoney exterior and was built in the 1800's. Conveniently located as you can spend some time at the pier sbd nearby beach to enjoy lake Erie and maybe find some sea glass. Stop and check it out.
  • We visited first time last week 24th September 2022 when we were traveling by road from Detroit to Buffalo NY, this was weekend and we couldn’t get enough information to share but we enjoyed to stop here, just the outside tour and the beautiful clicks of pictures and videos but sharing some information gathered from google.
