  • This place is eerily interesting. It used to be a place to make leather goods tan but also caused serious environmental damage over many years to the river, as it ran black.

  • The entrance to the trail is closed in White Haven so this is where we started our bike excursion and it was awesome! Got to see the famous Lehigh Tannery the second largest tannery in the country...

  • There is not much to see here, just the foundation walls of the old tannery. It costs nothing to visit and there is plenty of parking and no crowds. Allow yourself at least two minutes to see all...

  • As others have stated, it is simply the foundation remains with a placard explaining the site. Right over the bridge is a nice rail trail. There’s plenty of parking and the trail is well maintained.
  • D&L trail north of the Tannery site is closed (10/23/2022).
  • Foundation only. Do not be disappointed when you see the river flowing 20 feet below. It’s amazing to think about how much commerce to place here.
  • Nice place to visit...beautiful trails...gorgeous views.
  • Not really much to see but it's still a cool place in our history and inspired me to do more research on it
