The White River Light is a lighthouse on Lake Michigan near the city of Whitehall, Michigan. It sits on a thin peninsula of land separating Lake Michigan from White Lake. The building was built in 1875.

  • Small museum but nice. Short video explains things. Fee to go up lighthouse. Car parking at museum only. RV and bus parking a short distance from museum on right before you turn on road to museum...

  • Very interesting place for a short visit. Small entry charge, but worth it. Would do it once, but no repeat visits.

  • Another unique lighthouse in lake Michigan. The the lighthouse at the time we visited was closed. There was a family occupying and barbecuing when we arrived. My wife had to go to the bathroom desperately and we asked where the nearest bathroom was he directed us to a place about 10 miles away.. Would have been nice to be what I said Hey you can borrow ours.
  • Lake Michigan at its best. No big crowd with a moderate walk along the channel. If you like the cool breeze of the Lakeshore this is a great place to go.
  • We decided on one last visit to the lake before it snowed. The sights were beautiful, we were disappointed we missed being able to go into the museum but plan on going back when they are open.
  • We love this lighthouse, pier, beach, fishing spot. You can bring dogs to this beach as well. Great family environment
  • Need some self-reflection time.. the waves will put your mind right if you listen long enough.
