  • When you go please plan plenty of time to see it all. I visited with a Church group and we did not allot near enough time to see and digest the content of it all.. Most impressive and enjoyable...

  • Great place for local history. Beautiful building. I spent a nice time quietly going thru the displays on my own pace. I really enjoyed the tours of the jail and cabin as well. I loved the fact...

  • The jail tour by a retired deputy was excellent but long. The museum itself was quite comprehensive. However, when a non-profit museum doesn't allow people to use the restrooms unless they pay...

  • EXCELLENT!! Learned so much from the kind folks who work at the museum! The museum is phenomenal - one of the best museums we've ever visited. We met Jenny and John, who work there, and it was Mr Buck Stuart who volunteers his time and was so sweet to give us the best tour we've ever had through the jail and oldest house from so long ago! And we met visitors, and now new friends, Grace and Joe!! The amount of history learned is going to stay with us for life. We highly recommend visiting the museum!!
  • Beautiful building and fun to visit. We liked that there was EV parking outside and a great spray park on the front area of the grounds. Really fantastic place to visit.
  • As a member of the OVTA, I spent the afternoon of October 4th at the Wilkes Heritage Museum teaching the area 4th Graders about herbs and the medicinal uses of plants. Other members of the OVTA were making presentations of militia gear, quill writing, encampment, coins, traditional meals that were made over the fireplace and cordage. Wilkes Heritage Museum and the Robert Cleveland House are beautiful places and full of history. Everyone should visit just to help keep our rich history alive.
  • A great and informative museum. They do an excellent job of covering their community & region from many perspective. Family friendly.
  • Lots of information on local history, great displays, friendly employees. Well worth the $6.00 admission price!
